About Me

I am Rae and the owner of Of Vine and Thorn. I am a pagan and practicing folk witch with a focus on herbalism and local folkloric practices. As well as being an animist this all influences my artwork hugely and love incorporating all I learn into my work. 

I started Of Vine and Thorn to sell my artwork and a few small bone pieces. The taxidermy part of my business has grown hugely since the start and this has become my main focus to create one off pieces. I am very active to try and re use and recycle second hand items. This can be found with the jars, frames and shelves that I use. This is great for the environment and I strive to make my business as eco friendly as possible. 

I also create traditional oil paintings which takes sometimes a backburner but this is a huge passion. I have a Fine Art Degree and this helped me with my painting practice but I moved away from the subject matters they pushed.
