ABOUT OF VINE AND THORN

Of vine and thorn is a taxidermy and witchy business created to respect all animals in death and immortalising every animal used. Starting with simple bone processing pieces and improving to the one off statement pieces Rae now designs and makes. Ethical practices are key to this business from the sourcing of bones and specimens to picking crystals and foraging for plants and florals. Pieces change throughout the year as the seasons change and whats available to forage changes.

OWNER - RAE

I am the owner of of vine and thorn. I did fine art at university but sadly painting was not working so I slowly added taxidermy to my business and then a few years back I decided ti switch solely to making that my main business. I love what I do and to be able to create one off pieces respecting the animals or bugs spirit in return. I create every piece by hand and do all the processing myself. I am connected to nature and animals intensely and work with many in my magical practice from animal spirits to plants and their spirits also. 

 

HELPERS - LOKI AND CLEO 

We are loki and cleo the pups that help behind the scenes. From company when hooman is doing admin to sniffing all crystals that come through to inspect them. We are the best pups ever and always so helpful even if we do get in the way a lot. We love bing out in nature with the hoomans and getting very very muddy!
